As the summer comes to an end and kids are starting their school routine, the best last area hoorah is the Hancock County fair. This year the fair takes place September 1st through September 6th.
The Hancock County Fair has been around since 1852. The fair has been a place people carry out small adventures, interacting with friends and family outside of work or school. Those who attend fairs love to watch shows happening in grandstands; see animals and auctions; participate with arts/crafts, baking, and other miscellaneous items; or view businesses in market buildings for good deals.
What do you need to know when going to the fair? The admission fee for this year's fair is
either $8/day or $25 season pass per person. *A single ticket/pass admits an adult and a dependent 15 years of age or younger. Those who enjoy riding fair rides can purchase an all-day wristband for $25. Information on purchasing tickets can be found by texting the number on the right or clicking HERE.
Go to the Hancock County Fairground website (www.hancockfairgrounds.org) to look at all the exciting events and organizations that will be at the fairground.
